Atovacon Pharmaceutical Information

Medication Information: Atovacon is used to treat a chest infection called pneumonia (pneumonia) caused by pneumocystis. This type of lung infection is caused by an organism called Pneumocystis jirovecii and occurs in people whose immune systems are weakened (for example, AIDS). Autovacon is prescribed when other treatments do not respond. This medicine is prescribed by a doctor. Atovacone works by killing the infectious organism (pneumocystis gyrus).
