Azacitidine Drug Information

Azacitidine is a chemotherapy drug used to treat a group of bone marrow or blood diseases (myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)) in which the bone marrow does not produce healthy blood cells. People with MDS often have problems such as infection, anemia, bleeding and bruising. With the help of bone marrow, it produces normal blood cells. Azacitidine also kills abnormal cells that have overgrown and are not working properly.
