Stoximab is a man-made protein (monoclonal antibody) used to treat cancers of the colon, rectum, head and neck. Stoximb is a chemotherapy drug used to reduce or stop the growth of cancer cells. Stoximab binds to a specific protein (epidermal growth protein receptor (EGFR)) in some tumors, thereby preventing tumor growth.
