El Salazine Drug Information

Medication Information: Ulcerative colitis causes inflammation of the large intestine. This inflammation causes complications such as sores and bleeding and symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. However, it is not clear exactly how allazine works, but it does alter the patterns of chemical production by affecting the cells lining the colon. These chemicals cause the symptoms of ulcerative colitis. Salazine allows the affected areas of the gut to heal and prevents recurrence of symptoms.
