In cases where your itchy ear is not accompanied by serious signs and symptoms, and in cases where you have not recently had face and ear surgery, you can use the following home methods to get rid of itchy ear.

  • Treat ear itching with warm water:

One of the most effective ways to get rid of ear itching due to fluid accumulation in the ear is to rinse the ear with warm water

Water can make earwax more easily detached and easier to remove

You should only use distilled water

Never use tap water

Distilled water will be more suitable for loosening and essentializing the separation of ear wax than water combined with bicarbonate or oil-based solution.

Follow the procedure below:

Pour hot distilled water into a plastic syringe

Bend your head and pull the earlobe up and back to flatten your ear canal (in adults)

Gently pour some warm distilled water into the ear canal

Wait a minute and now empty it by tilting your head to the opposite side

Now wipe the ear and wax with a soft, clean cloth

Now repeat on your other ear

  • Treat ear itching at home with olive oil:

Lie down with the injured ear facing up

Now gently pull the earlobe up and back.

Select the dropper into which you have poured lukewarm olive oil and gently drop two or three drops into the ear.

Now gently massage the ear

Lie on your side for five to ten minutes and wipe off any oil that comes out of your ear with a tissue.

Repeat in the other ear if it is itchy

Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties, can soften earwax and make it easier to separate

  • Treat ear itching at home with the help of gravity:

If water enters your ear while swimming or taking a shower, this is the cause of your ear itching

You can use gravity to get the water out of your ear.

Position the affected ear so that it is parallel to the ground

Insert your washed, clean, dried finger into your ear

Use a vacuum to help drain water

Now wipe off the discharge and water with a soft, cotton towel

You can easily put a soft towel under your ear and lie on your side.

If your other ear is itchy, do the same for the other side.

  • Hot compress:

If acne is the cause of itchy ears, a warm compress is very effective.

If it is removed, the itching of your ear canal will also be removed.

Take a soft towel and warm it.

Apply the warm compress on the affected earlobe for five minutes.

Repeat this twice a day.

  • Hydrogen peroxide solution and home treatment of ear itching:

This method can be effective if the accumulation of earwax is the cause of your ear itching

Avoid using too much of this substance in the ear as it can be accompanied by dry ears.

Mix equal parts of water and hydrogen peroxide 3% and pour into the dropper

Bend your head and drop a few drops into your ear. Now bend your head to the other side to drain the fluid.

Now wipe the ear with a towel.

  • Dry ears:

Staying moist inside the ear canal can cause itching, inflammation and even infection, so always keep your ears dry.

Gently dry your ears with a soft towel after swimming and bathing.

You can put a piece of cotton soaked in oil in your ear and then take a bath or go into the pool and the sea.

You can also use a hair dryer to do this.

The distance between the hair dryer and your ears should be ten to twelve inches.

Set the temperature of the hair dryer to warm and the low speed.

Do not continue for more than 30 seconds as the skin may be damaged.

The final words:

Finally, know that maintaining the health of the ear is necessary to prevent ear itching. Do not use cotton to clean the inside of the ear, but clean the outside of the ear regularly with cotton and a little warm water.

If you use hair sprays, face sprays or hair dyes that irritate and itch your ears, put an oil-soaked cotton ball in the outer ear canal before using these products.

If you have an allergy to nickel, be sure to choose earrings carefully

Always keep your mobile phone and phone clean because it is in direct contact with your ear

Avoid over-cleaning the inside of the ear as it will be the main cause of itchy ear.
