Rhetplas is a tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) produced using recombinant DNA technology using the Escherichia coli (bacterial) host. Reteplase is a recombinant protein that contains 357 of the 527 amino acids of the main protein and is actually a thrombolytic drug.
